The Planter’s Palette is holding its first Tomatomania! on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 & 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy tastings of the first of the season’s tomatoes and the vegetables grown right here at The Planter’s Palette. Ingelnook Pantry & Galena Garlic Company will also be here with more samplings for you to taste and to purchase. Chocolate and white milk will be available courtesy of Oberweiss Dairy.

Tomatomania! will also feature specials on pottery and garden decor including arbors, trellises, benches, and more.

The harvest has begun in our vegetable garden. Every morning we head out to see what’s ready to be picked. So far, we’ve picked green beans, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, zucchini, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, and garlic. Please call ahead if you are coming for a particular vegetable to make sure we have it for you. We also have sweet corn available. We buy it from another local grower – the raccoons won’t let us grow it here!
