Carex elata 'Bowles Golden'

Very showy, bright yellow, arching foliage with green edges to 2' tall. Clump-forming 2-3' wide. New spring growth is particularly striking. Single specimens or small masses will brighten the shady garden.

Part shade. Moist, fertile soil. Avoid deep shade. Tolerates flooding 2-3" deep. Does not like to dry out. Foliage stays golden with some sunlight.
