Basil 'Amethyst'
Only Genovese basil with purple leaves. Grows 16-20" tall. Annual. Remove flowers to keep leaves from becoming bitter. Best used fresh in salads or sandwiches. Purple pesto tastes great, doesn't look so good.
Grow in full sun in well-drained soil. Can grow indoors in a bright window or under artificial lights.
