Baptisia australis

Indigo-blue, pea-like flowers are set off by the attractive blue-green foliage. Blooms May into June. Has a shrub-like habit growing 3-4' tall and wide. Slow to reach mature size. Attractive black seed pods.

Full sun to very light shade in average garden soil. Taproot; do not move after established. If sheared after bloom new growth will form a tidy mound.
