Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'

Stiff vertical flower spikes in early summer dry to a wheat color and stand to attention thru the winter. Foliage forms a mound 18"-24" tall and flowers are 3' higher. Grows to 30" wide. Effective massed or used as a specimen. A cool season grass.

Full sun in rich, moist soil. Can tolerate heavy soils. Sturdy winter silhouette.
