Erianthus ravennae

Dramatic 12-20" silvery white flower plumes rise 8-10' above the gray green foliage in September. Dense foliage is 4-5' tall and as wide. Foliage turns shades of orange, beige, and purple in fall. Give this giant lots of room. A warm season grass.

Full sun in moist, well-drained soil. Not easy to move. A winter mulch is recommended. A substitute for non-hardy Pampass Grass.
