Miscanthus sinensis 'Purpurascens'

A tight, upright clump of medium textured foliage 4-5' tall and to 3' wide. Striking red fall color matures to a purple red topped by silvery, slightly arching flower plumes in late August. Nice with Rudbeckia or Solidago. A warm season grass.

Full sun in average, well-drained soil. Vigorous and dependable. Quick to establish. Tolerant of less than perfect conditions.
