Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kaoukamon' maroon
Enormous semi-double very dark maroon flowers blooming in late may to June. Grows slowly into 3 to 4' woody shrub with coarse, exfoliating bark & luxuriant foliage.
Full sun to light shade in deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Protect from high winds. Do not cut back. Slow to flower when immature. Extremely hardy.
