Panicum virgatum 'Hot Rod'

Native of U.S. Upright clumps of blue green foliage grow 36-40" tall, 24" wide. Turns red sooner than other varieties. Plant becomes a rich burgundy. Tan flowerheads appear late summer. Warm season grass.

Full sun for best color. Moist or dry soils of average fertility. Nice in wet areas. Quick to establish and re-seeds. Remains upright in winter.
