Pennisetum caudatum
Silky, very showy white flowers 12" above the foliage appear earlier than P. alopecuroides. Grows vigorously to 3-4' with the same fountain like effect. Space plants 3' apart. Lovely against a dark background. A warm season grass.
Full sun or light shade in average, well-drained soil. Establishes quickly. Protect from extreme cold in winter.
