Penstemon 'Husker Red'
White tubular flowers are held on 24-36" spikes in June to July. Showy reddish-bronze foliage forms neat mounds spreading to 12". Seed pods useful as dry floral. Gorgeous with peach and cream Asiatic lilies.
Full sun to light shade in average, well-drained soil, especially in winter. A light mulch in winter is recommended.
