Phalaris arundinacea 'Strawberries and Cream'

White striped foliage blushed with pink grows 18-24" tall spreading slowly to 2' wide. Showy soft white flowers in June 12-18" above the foliage. Remains erect in winter. Nice with Astilbe 'Rheinland'. A warm season grass.

Light to part shade in rich moist soil. Will tolerate boggy soils or even shallow standing water 1-2" deep. Nice winter effect.
