Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Rubra'
Red-violet, cup-shaped flowers bloom in mid April to May. Flowers usually appear before the soft silky-haired foliage forms at the base. Grows 8-12" tall and 12" wide. The feathery seed heads are quite unique.
Full sun to light shade well-drained neutral to alkaline soil. Avoid wet winter situations.
