Scabiosa columbaria 'Butterfly Blue'
Lavender-blue, pincushion-shaped flowers on wiry stems appear July to August. Grows 12-18" tall and to 12" wide with finely cut foliage and an airy, compact habit. A good cutting flower.
Full sun in well drained, fertile soil. Remove flowers in the mid season to give plant a rest. Mulch in winter with evergreen branches.
