Thymus praecox 'Coccineus'
Bright scarlet flowers cover the edible, aromatic evergreen foliage in June to July. Attractive sprawling mats grow 2-4" tall with a 15" spread. Use as a ground cover or in between stepping stones. Long lived.
Full sun in average to poor, well-drained to dry soil. Will not tolerate wet winters.
