Podophyllum peltatum
Interesting native. Large deeply lobed leaves form small umbrella atop single 12-18"stems. White flowers hang below the umbrella, May to June followed by yellow fruit (apple) in summer. Forms colonies. Goes dormant.
Part shade in moist,organically rich soil. Contact may cause skin irritation for some people. Suitable for ponds or water's edge.
