Iris versicolor

Blue-violet flowers bloom May to June. Forms vigorous clumps of upright, arching, sword-shaped foliage 24-42" tall. Space 24" apart. Native to wet areas and works well beside ponds. Good as a cut flower too.

Full sun to light shade in average, well-drained to wet and boggy soil. Very adaptable. Can be potted and sunk into ponds for a focal point.
