Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hoki'

Absolutely spectacular and long lived plant that should be used more. Enormous, semi-double bright scarlet flowers bloom in late May-June. Grows slowly into 3 to 4' woody shrub with exfoliating bark & luxuriant foliage.

Full sun to light shade in deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Protect from high winds. Do not cut back. Slow to flower when immature. Extremely hardy.
